Posti Group Oyj, Finland’s leading postal and logistics provider, has fully embraced automation in mail sortation through the deployment of TRECO Postal’s Solitaire Robot. With a growing network of Solitaire Robot’s already operating across several locations - Posti sought to take the next step in optimizing their operations.
Twice the Storage
Identifying an opportunity to streamline and centralize mail handling, Posti partnered with TRECO Postal to develop a high-capacity version of the Solitaire Robot - doubling its storage capability to meet increased operational demands. The enhanced machine now complements their existing Solitaire units, further driving efficiency in both presorting and route sequencing.

"One of our top priorities was to find a more efficient way to sort mail. We initially started out with just sequencing, but due to having more days to fulfil our USO, we soon realized that by centralizing our mail handling locations, we could consolidate routes and also use the machines for presorting mail for both inward and outward deliveries. By leveraging the scalability of the Solitaire Robot, TRECO Postal solved our needs."

One of the key strengths of the TRECO Solitaire Robot is its scalability and flexibility – both in terms of capacity and sorting processes.
To meet Posti’s specific needs, we developed a larger machine variant along with new software features to support additional sorting processes – all within just a few months.
